Celebrate Cinco!

Updated: Jun 18, 2019

Cinco de Mayo is a national holiday in Mexico commemorating the Mexican Army's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862. In the US, Cinco de Mayo is an opportunity to celebrate Mexican and Mexican-American culture.

Alpine is home to eight great Mexican restaurants—each offering a unique spin on their dishes and presentation. There is something for everyone!

Al Pancho's

Al Pancho's is proud to maintain a positive reputation in the community, and they strive to offer top customer service, food quality, and affordability.

Diego's Taco Shop

Fast, friendly service. Located just off the freeway; it’s the only taco shop in Alpine with a drive through.

La Carreta

This family-owned Mexican cantina has been a staple in Alpine since 1980. Be sure to swing by for Fajita Fridays or a delicious margarita.

Tapatio's Mexican Grill

Looks can be deceiving in this tiny spot. The restaurant may be small in size, but it is huge in flavor. Try the California burrito which has a devoted fan-base.

Mañana's Mexican Food

Known for their Mar y Tierra Burrito, Mañana’s is committed to quality. They don’t use lard in any of their food and even have wheat tortillas as a healthier alternative.

Marieta's Fine Mexican

Every day they carry on a wonderful tradition started over 35 years ago by providing warm friendly service in a family atmosphere.

Salsa Mexican Food

With salsa in the name, guests know they are in for a flavorful treat. Home to a local favorite, the chips and salsa is enough to have you coming again and again.
